A lifelong New Englander, William Tomasso is the president of TBI Construction and Tunxis Management. He is also a principal at the Tomasso Group, the company his grandfather founded over 90 years ago. William Tomasso, along with other family members, started Tunxis Management to manage the family’s sizable real estate interests. Over the years, Tunxis Management's clientele included; Fortune 100 companies, government buildings, retail plazas, and performing arts centers among their portfolio.
Some of TBI Construction's largest and most complex projects in the region consisted of the Hospital of Central Connecticut Cancer Center, the Medical Arts Center of Central Connecticut, and the renovation of the historic Palace Theater.
In his private life, Mr. Tomasso is a family man and philanthropist with a strong sense of duty toward youth initiatives. He’s a volunteer member of the Opportunities Industrialization Center of New Britain and many other organizations, including New Britain Police Athletic League.
William Tomasso is a native of New Britain, Connecticut, and one of the city’s prominent executives. He is principal of the Tomasso Group and president of both TBI Construction Company and Tunxis Management Company. Outside his work, William Tomasso supports the development of young people.
Near the end of 2019, Mr. Tomasso was at the Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) in New Britain, Connecticut. Men of Many Colors Group members were in attendance that day. However, Mr. Tomasso, who is a long-time member of the board of OIC, was not alone. He was supported by Chris Link, president of Link Mechanical, a successful tech company also based in New Britain.
After being introduced by Mr. Tomasso, Mr. Link spoke to the audience about the benefits of working in the trades. He also spoke about how he founded and brought Link Mechanical to where it is now - a reputable business with almost 50 employees. Mr. Tomasso selected Chris Link to speak as someone who exemplifies New Britain’s current success story.
